Terms and Conditions

1. Scope of Work

Delta HVAC Technologies Inc. will perform all services as described in the approved quote, work order, or invoice. Any additional work, materials, or changes requested by the customer that fall outside the original scope will be billed as an extra at standard labour and material rates.

2. Pricing & Payment

  • All pricing is in Canadian dollars (CAD).
  • Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified.
  • A 50% deposit may be required for equipment orders and installation projects.
  • Remaining balance is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Accepted payment methods include e-transfer, credit/debit card, cash, cheque, and approved corporate purchase orders.
  • Late payments may be subject to interest charges at 3% per month (36% per year), calculated daily.

3. Scheduling & Access

Customers must ensure Delta HVAC Technologies Inc. has safe, unobstructed access to equipment, mechanical rooms, basements, attics, rooftops, and any area where work needs to be completed.
If access is unavailable, unsafe, or obstructed, Delta HVAC Technologies Inc. may reschedule the appointment or charge additional labour time.

4. Permits & Code Compliance

Mechanical, gas, and electrical permits – when required – will be obtained by Delta HVAC Technologies Inc. or by the customer, as specified within the quote.
All work performed by Delta HVAC Technologies Inc. will meet or exceed applicable Alberta Building Codes, CAN/CSA standards, and municipal regulations.

5. Materials & Equipment

  • Delta HVAC Technologies Inc. sources equipment and materials from authorized and reputable distributors.
  • Cancellations after equipment has been ordered may incur manufacturer or distributor restocking fees.
  • All removed parts or equipment become the property of Delta HVAC Technologies Inc. unless the customer requests otherwise before work begins.

6. Existing System Conditions

Delta HVAC Technologies Inc. is not responsible for:

  • Hidden defects or pre-existing issues discovered during the work
  • Previous improper installations, unsafe wiring, incorrect venting, inadequate gas piping, or structural deficiencies
  • Equipment failures caused by misuse, neglect, or environmental conditions

If additional repairs are required to correct pre-existing issues, Delta HVAC Technologies Inc. will provide a separate quote.

7. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Clearing personal belongings and furniture from work areas
  • Providing accurate information about their system and property
  • Ensuring pets and children are kept away from work zones
  • Informing Delta HVAC Technologies Inc. of hazardous materials such as asbestos, mold, or chemicals

If hazards are observed, work may be paused until proper remediation is completed.

8. Manufacturer Warranty

All manufacturer warranties are provided directly by the equipment manufacturer and are subject to their terms, conditions, and approval processes.
Delta HVAC Technologies Inc. will assist with documentation and warranty claim submissions but cannot guarantee approval or timelines.

9. Workmanship Warranty

All installation work performed by Delta HVAC Technologies Inc. is covered under a 1-year workmanship warranty unless otherwise specified.
This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Customer-supplied materials
  • Neglect, misuse, or unauthorized repairs
  • Failure to maintain equipment as recommended by the manufacturer

10. System Performance

New installations may require performance adjustments during initial usage.
Delta HVAC Technologies Inc. is not responsible for limitations caused by:

  • Pre-existing ductwork restrictions
  • Building envelope issues
  • Incorrect equipment sizing selected prior to site evaluation
  • Customer refusal to upgrade critical supporting systems (ductwork, gas lines, electrical capacity)

11. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Service appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
  • Installation cancellations after equipment orders have been placed may incur restocking fees of up to 30%.

12. Limit of Liability

Delta HVAC Technologies Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including:

  • Loss of revenue
  • Delays due to weather, supply chain issues, or manufacturer-related delays
  • Property damage resulting from equipment failure or pre-existing system conditions

13. Environmental & Disposal Fees

Standard disposal, recycling, and refrigerant recovery fees may apply. These will be itemized on the quote or invoice when applicable.

14. Photo & Documentation Authorization

Delta HVAC Technologies Inc. may take photos or videos of equipment for diagnostic, safety, compliance, and warranty documentation purposes.
No photos of private living spaces will be used publicly without written consent.

15. Agreement & Acceptance

By approving a quote, booking service, accepting work, or allowing Delta HVAC Technologies Inc. to begin any task, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
